This is a wedding suite that I designed from scratch for a young woman who had a very specific vision for her wedding invitations. The color palette was picked straight from a reminissant photograph of her's and the fonts were altered to fit the whimsical, fun, classy style that you see here.
Each piece was produced in an old print shop. The Invitation is elegantly letterpressed with an antique Platen-Style Printing Press, a prestegious 2-hit (2-color) print process on heavy double thick 220LB Crane Pearl White Letra paper. Each piece varied due to the imperfect allignment of the two plates, giving them individual character.
The rest were economically printed digitally, matching ink to the letterpress invitation for continuity. These were printed on a Xante Illumina printer that printed type crisp and clear. To couple nicely with the Crane Letra, yet keep on budget, I chose to print them on Cougar White 110LB cover, which still maintained the essence of excelent quality, without being too prestegious.
